▒ Product specifications
Fine-Tannin effectively removes tannin stains by outstanding infiltration, lubrication~dispersion and solubilization of the non-soluble. Retains safe pH balance for fabric and color.
▒ Understanding tannin stains
Sources of stain tannin stains: fruits and stalks of nuts, coffee, black tea, grass juice, beer, mustard…)
① Tannin+sugar: fruit juice, beverages, wine, bread, flour…
② Tannin+protein: sweat, café latte, starch, soy sauce, bean sprouts…
③ Tannin+fat+protein: meat, fish soup, ketchup, grilled fish, bulgogi…
④ Miscellaneous: ink, photographic developers, certain medical products…
Traits of stains
① If left in air for a long time, tannin stains get ingrained. It is therefore recommended to remove the stain right after it occurs.
② If the clothing is dried without tannin stains unremoved, they become entrenched due to drying heat. It is therefore recommended to remove the stain at cleaning or pre-treatment stage.
③ Tannin stains may get entrenched because of alkaline detergent. Caution needed.
④ Tannin interacts with albumen in protein to clot the substance. Thus, it is effective for complex stains such as residues of cooked food to remove tannin stains first and then remove protein stains.
▒ How to use
Apply the product on stain and gently pat.
Apply the product on stain and gently pat.
In case of entrenched stains, apply the product and then apply heat or steam lightly after about 2-3 minutes.
Flush or spot chemicals and stains to remove, and then clean.
In case of complex stains such as cooked food consisting of “tannin+protein+fat”, it is effective to remove the stains in the order of fat, tannin and protein.
If changes occur to fabric or coloration during the use of the product, quickly wash off with water and neutralize with Fine-Protein.
▒ Caution
For fabrics and coloration suspicious of vulnerability to acids, use the product after testing on unseen parts.
Do not leave clothing too long (over 20 minutes) with the product applied on stains.
When using steam, use it about 20cm far from the clothing.
Do not use the product with bleachers.
For fabrics necessitating cautions (cotton, Chinese yam, rayon), it is safe and effective to use the product after applying water or 10 times diluted neutral detergents on tainted areas.
