▒ Product specification

“Antibacterial” dry-cleaning detergent for petroleum solvent
Optimal activator system and high level of activator of Drysurf differentiates effectiveness and efficiency of dry-cleaning from those of other products.
FITI testing results have proven that the product to be reducing bacteria in clothing up to 99.9%. It sterilizes pollutants of solvents, thereby preventing deterioration and odor of solvents.
Drysurf’s high level of water solubilization not only prevents various kinds of dry-cleaning problems due to moisture, but also is suitable to charge system for washing off water-soluble pollutants including food by applying moisture or solvent humidity. Moreover, Drysurf’s special dispersion technique and pollution-free function perfectly prevents tarnishing and reverse-pollution often occurring while dry-cleaning. It also successfully overcomes challenges of cleansing non-soluble pollution including dirt. It prevents static during cleansing or drying process and comes with high-quality finishing with premium softener.

Instructions for use

▒ Concentration (amount of soap put into dry tank)

Recommended concentration: 1%(v/v) [1.8l of Drysurf per 180l of the solvent]
If below the recommended amount, still preventing reverse-pollution and laundry problems due to moisture is possible, but for managing moisture to wash off water-solube pollutants and clearing out non-soluble pollutants such as dirt which account for most of pollutants, it is recommended to maintain optimal level of concentration.
If more of the solvent are added, put 200ml of Dry-Surf per 18l of the solvent.

▒ Dry-cleaning pre-treatment

Water-soluble pollutants (coffee, beverages, sweat, alcohol, black tea, minerals, fruit juce, …)
Steam or spray on the polluted area of the laundry and pat it with brush, or let the chemicals to disperse for about 5 miutes and then spray dry-zol on it.
If not polluted to great extent, pre-treatment with steam or water is fine.
Oil-soluble pollutants (cheese, margarine, cosmetics, animal and plant oil, mineral oil, fatty acids, …)
Don’t use water and pre-treatment with oil pre-treatment agents including dry-zol, POG or monochlorobenzene is recommended.

▒ Laundry instruction 1 (non-charge system)

No moisture charge, use only when not experienced in using soap and handling solvents.
Put soap tantamount to 1% of the whole solvent, and blend enough by stirring.
Put pre-treated laundry into basket and then dry. Cleaning for 15-17 minutes is preferred, and in case of excessive pollution 25 minutes of washing is recommended.
This method does not charge moisture to the solvent initially, but as moisture gradually comes in from pre-treatment and laundry, Dry-Surf spontaneously processes charging.
This method may not remove water-soluble pollutants not subject to pre-treatment.

▒ Laundry instruction 2 (semi-charge system)

It is to charge moisture up to 30~40% in relative humidity, which is a safe method applicable without experience in charging.
Charging rate = solvent 100 : dry-surf 1 : water 0.3 ~ 0.4
charging method = refer to the below “charging of moisture”
Semi-charge system mixture example = solvent 198l : dry-surf 2l : water 600~800ml
Put pre-treated laundry into basket and then dry. Cleaning for 15-17 minutes is preferred, and in case of excessive pollution 25 minutes of washing is recommended.
If more solvent is added then put additional 200ml of dry-surf per 18l of the solvent. It is effective to some extent for water-soluble pollutants not subject to pre-treatment.

▒ Laundry instruction 3 (charge system)

※ Charging moisture at the optimal level of charging which is 60~70% in relative humidity, appropriate for the experienced at charging and handling solvents
Charging rate = solvent 100 : dry-surf 1.5 : water 0.9
charging method = refer to the below “charging moisture”
Minimize use of water during pre-treatment and use only dry-zol if possible.
Put pre-treated laundry into basket and then dry. Cleaning for 10-15 minutes is preferred, and in case of excessive pollution 20 minutes of washing is recommended.
If more solvent is added then put additional 200ml of dry-surf per 18l of the solvent.
This method is effective even without pre-treatment if not much polluted.
This method has already charged optimal level of moisture, so it is better to put the same amount of dry-surf if moisture is used at pre-treatment.

▒ Choosing laundry method

The above three methods all have their own pros and cons, so it is important to consider the laundromat’s laundry environment, proficiency and such when choosing which method to use. It is recommended to proceed step by step.

▒ Charging moisture

Put certain amount of the solvent and then put in soap and water. Then, raise the solvent upto laundry level and stir enough. As removing oil and proceeding with laundry, idle the solvent to blend soap and charged moisture well with the solvent. Before a day passes after moisture has been charged, it is better not to do laundry with pure wool, silk and rayon which are easily harmed and deformed by moisture.

▒ Managing relative humidity

While using dry-cleaning detergent, especially charge detergents, relative humidity may rise inevitably by repeating dry processes due to moisture from laundry or pre-treatment.
①Excessive humidity checking = water stain on which moisture has been used
②Dehumidifier or dry cotton fabric can be used to remove moisture among the solvent

▒ Caution

Only for petroleum, not for perchloroethylene
If used with other dry-cleaning detergents, activator balance may be deteriorated and therefore dry-surf may not work well.
If used with other dry-cleaning detergents or carbon filter has long been used, it is recommended to use the product when filter is changed.
Outstanding washability and dispersion of dry-surf may cause change in color of the solvent if tank floor is polluted initially or there are serious scales on pipelines.
In these cases, it is recommended to filter pollutants by idling enough, or change the filter if pollution is excessive.
